Before starting the designing process, each student picked an item to which the design of the temporary market stall had to apply. As I am fond of reading and think that selling books at a market is always something different, I not only wanted to create a shop but also a place of intervention. Due to the location under a subway line, which usually is only a space of circulation without any amenity quality a bookstall resulted, with two functions: he interior hosts the book shop only open during market hours. Meanwhile, the façade/walls provide public book shelves where used books can be exchanged by everyone passing by for free. The floor and shelves in the interior are built by using the same wooden profil only in different lengths. Therefore, seating, niches and displays for the books emerge. The concept allows the market stand to be interactive throughout day and night and never has to fully shut down. The small logo represents the money moving in the center, rotating around are the free books swaped by the neighborhood.
